Persepolis (2007), based on Marjane Satrapi's acclaimed autobiographical graphic memoir of the same name, follows her childhood years through the Iranian Revolution, Iran-Iraq war and eventual exile. Directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud. Presented in French with English subtitles. A portion of ticket sales from the evening is donated to PEN Canada in support of exiled authors and fighting censorship.
